Hopi Kachina Dolls – 1970’s Forward
These are Kachina dolls that I believe were made in the 1970’s or later or dolls that I’m simply not sure about.
Butterfly Kachina
This doll stands 11 inches tall. It’s a nicely carved Kachina.
Left-Handed Kachina
This Kachina stands 10 inches high and is 5 inches wide. Notice the exaggerated left hand.
Mocking Kachina
This Mocking Kachina stands 8 inches tall. It’s newer and well done.
Parrot Kachina
This 9 inch Kachina is also known as the Kyash Kachina.
Snake Racer Kachina
This doll stands 8 inches tall without the feathers or 10 inches tall if you include the feathers. Not sure what to say about the sea shells! Appears to made out of cottonwood root.
Tewa/Hanoi (Clown) Kachina
This is a very well carved doll that is probably not that old. He stands 11 inches at the tallest point.
